(v.) “喜欢” like to do/doing sth
(prep.) “像”， 后接名词或代词做宾语，常用短语：
be like “像”， 多指性格，品质方面像
look like“看起来像”， 外貌上像
Eg: She likes to swim/swimming.她喜欢游泳。

- leave (v.) “离开”
leave + sp. “离开某地”
leave for +sp. “动身去某地”
leave +A+ for+ B “离开A地去B地”
Eg: When do you leave Shanghai? 你什么时候离开上海？
Next week Alice is leaving for London. 下周爱丽丝要去伦敦了。
Why are you leaving Beijing for Shanghai? 你为什么要离开北京去上海？
- dream
(Cn.) “梦想；睡梦” 复数: dreams (v.) “做梦,梦见”
短语：dream of/about sb. / sth. 梦见某人/ 物
dream of/about doing sth. 梦见做某事
Eg: Have a good dream! 做个好梦！
We sometimes have bad dreams. 有时，我们会做噩梦。
My dream is to be a good teacher .我的梦想是做一位好老师。
She often dreams at night. 她晚上经常做梦。
- come true “实现”
主语通常是梦想（dream)、愿望(wish/ hope)、计划(plan)等。
Eg: Your dreams don’t always come true.你的梦想不总是能实现。
- true（adj.）“真实的；符合事实的”
反义：false “假的”
Eg: This is a true story. 这是一个真实的故事。
[拓展] truth <n.> “真相，实情”
Eg: Can you tell me the truth?你能告诉我实情吗?
- It’s their dream to have a bridge. 他们的梦想是有一座桥。
句型：It’s + n. (sb’s dream/ job) + to do sth. “做某事是某人的梦想/ 工作。”
（it 为形式主语， to do sth. 为真正的主语）
= To do sth. is + sb’s dream/ job.
= Sb’s dream/ job is to do sth.
Eg:① It’s my dream to be a musician. 我的梦想是成为一位音乐家。
= To be a musician is my dream.
= My dream is to be a musician.
② It’s his job to drive a bus. 他的工作是开公交车。
=To drive a bus is his job.
=His job is to drive a bus.

- afraid （adj.） “害怕，畏惧”
①be afraid to do sth “害怕做某事”
②be afraid of (doing) sth. “害怕(做)某事/某物”
③ be afraid that +从句 “恐怕...”
Eg: Most of the girls are afraid of snakes. 大多数女孩怕蛇。
She is afraid to cross the river on a ropeway. 她害怕乘索道过河。
Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. 不要害怕犯错误。
I’m afraid (that) he can’t come. 恐怕他不能来。
